Spring Break 2009

We had a great spring break. My brother Eric and his family visited from Kansas City. We swam at my parents pool and my brother's pool. The weather was beautiful all week. We had BBQs, birthday parties and lots of swimming.

Spring Break 2009- White Sands NM

The white sands are located about an hour or so from El Paso, in New Mexico. It is 275 square miles of pure white Egyptian sand dunes, the largest in the world. The sand looks kind of gray in the pictures but it is blinding white! And super fine and soft. This is truly an majestic place.
The mountains in the back ground are beautiful. The sands sit in the basin of a mountain range. We bought sledding discs to slide down the dunes. Some of the dunes are pretty high. They spray the bottom with wax or furniture polish to make them go faster.

We went with a group of friends. The boys had a blast.

The sand makes great opportunity for great pictures.

Davis and mommy going down the dune.

It was a beautiful day in the 80's. But with the glare and reflection from the sand it was hotter and the sun was strong. We packed a lunch and set up lawn chairs.

James was happy but he struggled with the bright sun. His eyes were really irritated. Next year will be easier for him. We set him up on a blanket under an umbrella.

Devin and his buddies.

Davis the week before Spring Break

Davis had a special day at school. They dressed in their Sunday best and had a fancy snack using their best manners. They learned proper place settings and how to pull the chair out for the girls. It was fun!

Davis did this at Adventure Zone for a birthday party of one of his friends. He was convinced that he went higher than any of his friends.

Flag Football

Devin had his first experience with football (flag football) this winter. His team was the Desert Rats. He was on a team with kids that played tackle football together in the fall so he was the new kid on the team. He had a good time and learned a lot. His team made it to the championship game but lost. We learned that football in Texas is intense and over the top.

Christmas 2008

Welcome Sweet Baby James

James 7 months
Prego!

We finally get to see what our sweet baby looks like. James is doing great and breathing on his own. They just took the tubes off him. Two days old.

The day before we got to go home, the boys get to see James for the first time through the window in the NICU. Mom was very emotional.

We are taking James home from the hospital. The boys can't get enough!

Going into the car!

Home sweet home! The first time the boys get to hold their new brother.

James gets his first bath and the boys wanted to bathe at the same time.

Sleepy days.

Davis can't get enough of his new brother.

Getting BIG!

Trip to Mexico May 2007

We took a trip to Rocky Point in Mexico with my dad's coaching staff. Everyone took a chartered bus. The bus trip took about 8 hours to get there but on the way home we had a detour to the emergency room in Tucson, Arizona. Davis was sleeping on the seat when he rolled off and hit his chin. OUCH! He got 6 stitches on the outside and 4 inside his lip. He was such a good sport. The ride home took 12 hours!

The boys loved playing on the beach in front of our condo.

Out to lunch!

Dinner without the kids!!

The boys spent hours digging for sea shells. Our condo is in the background.
