Halloween 2009

We had a great Halloween. James was a monkey, Devin was an alien and Davis was a skeleton. We spent the day at the Utep game and then we went up to my brother Aaron's house for a party and trick or treating. It was a lot of fun. We had dinner, went out trick or treating and then back to the party so the kids hit a huge pumpkin pinata! Jim had a homecoming dance that night so we headed home so he could get to work. It was a good thing because the kids were exhausted!!!!

Davis with the pumpkin pinata which was as big as him!

Devin with his best friend Mitchell.

Davis insisted on painting his face and hair white.

James was cute as can be!!!!! He was a perfect monkey!

We went to the Utep vs UAB game on Halloween day! We lost the game but it kept the boys busy during the day!!

Devin Rampage Football

Devin played tackel football for 8 and 9 year olds in an El Paso city league. He had a great time and loved every minute of it!! His practice/game schedule was very demanding and a huge committment for our whole family. He practiced 3-4 times a week and played games on Wed. or Sat. He did not miss a practice or game all season! He played all different positions on defense and played tight end on offense. He was third string quaterback and got a little practice time. He improved a lot as the season progressed. It was an interesting but fun experience for all of us!

Devin "3rd Grade" Bible

On Sunday, September 27th Devin sang "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Chris Tomlin with about fifteen other third grade children from church and school in front of our 11 o'clock service. It was awesome! They were belting it out with their sweet little voices. By the end of the song- they had brought everyone to their feet, clapping and cheering. It blew me away!! I am looking into if someone recorded it and I will pass it on if I can get my hands on it!! After the song, pastor Felicia called each child up and presented them with their first Bible. It was great- Devin loved it! We were proud!!

James One Year old Pictures

Ok - so James is almost fourteen months! We finally got his pictures done! He started walking about a month ago and he has had bruises on his face since. I have been waiting for the bruises and a couple mosquito bites to heal but I finally just decided to get them taken. You can see the yellow bruises on his cheek and forehead that is why most of pictures will be printed in black and white. O-Well!! They are still cute!!

James 9 months

Davis says that this is "boss" face, so whenever he makes this face we all call him "Boss".
Just one more of our many nicknames for James.

Yes, he is a drooler just like his brothers!! He is cutting his first bottom tooth.
Poor James just can't get the hang of crawling. He has been working at this forever! He rocks on his hands and knees and is crawling backwards. He finds a way to get around, rolling and army crawling. Any day I expect him to take off, he can't get any closer but I have been saying this for over a month?!

He is still sooo smiley!

The Albuquerque Zoo

Albuquerque has an great zoo, so after Dev's game on Sunday, we went to the zoo. It is a huge zoo that you could easily spend all day at, but we only had a couple of hours to spend there. It ended up being a long day and everyone was exhausted!

Posing for pictures was not on our agenda for my grumpy baseball boy!

Davis met a new friend, a baby camel.

James is always full of smiles.

We went around the zoo with one of Dev's teammates and his family. The little boy's name is JoJo and his little brother Jonathan is Davis's age. They had a lot of fun playing together the whole trip.

We found the Cougars!!

Behind Dev is a huge loin basking in the sun on a rock.

Memorial Day Weekend in New Mexico

For Memorial Day weekend we went to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a baseball tournament. We left on Friday afternoon and came home Monday evening. The drive only took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, it was perfect!! Devin had games on Sat, Sun and Monday. They lost the first two games and won their last game. Devin played great, he pitched every game and then mainly played third base. He had a single and an RBI. The boys loved staying in the hotel. Three teams from El Paso traveled to the tournament. There were about 30 families and we all stayed in the same hotel. The highlights of the trip for the kids were the indoor swimming pool, the free breakfast buffet(they love the silly little things?) and going to the zoo!! The highlight for me was our sweet baby James, he was such a easy baby to travel with despite cutting his first two teeth and he slept the whole drive home! We did not have a lot of free time, just a lot of baseball!!

Davis was in on all the action. He knows all the kids on Dev's team by name. He was so cute cheering in the stands!

Dev playing third base.

Jim and Davis in the stands.

James spends way too much time in the stroller! But he loves just hanging out and watching all the kids. We put cheerios on his tray and he will sit for hours watching with us. He loves being at the ball park.

Devin's Spring Concert

Davis was proud of his big brother!

James keep busy playing with his cousin's doll. He had never seen one before.

This was taken after the show on the stage.

Devin is in the top row with a white shirt and tie.

Devin had his spring music concert at school, themed "Hollywood." The kids dressed in their fanciest clothes. The boys were given top hats to wear. It was very cute.

Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter. It was a beautiful day here, mid 70's. We started the day with an egg hunt at the house with just our family. Then we went to church and then we had brunch with my parents at the El Paso Country Club.
Easter Brunch

James loved the eggs!

Daddy put silly bunny ears on James.

James keep grabbing Davis's whistle necklace. It was family day at church which means daycare only for kids under 5 years old and no kids church. So the boys were with us during the Easter service. They handed out "busy bags" for the kids on the way into the service. The bag had coloring books, crayons, candy and little books. It was a great idea but in Davis's bag was this whistle necklace. I guess they don't know my Davis!!! NO-he didn't blow the whistle during the service but I had to threaten him with his life. Oh, he was soooo tempted.

The boys kept James entertained during brunch.

Davis had a Easter party at school. That is the great thing about the boys going to a private school. They get to celebrate god's holidays and learn why we celebrate them.

It was a great party. They had an egg hunt. They each got 16 eggs. We put their names on the eggs so it took them along time to find all their eggs.

They decorated cookies and had hot chocolate. Devin was quite jealous, they don't have big parties anymore.
